LL, it was a kick being able to see it on SciFi Channel. I wa laughing at a lot of it but, some of it still made me jump!
Remember that s/l with the disembodied head in the box that would open its eyes and stare at people??? Barnabas was the coolest cat though. Even when he'd walk into a piece of furniture, Jonathan Frid wouldn't lose that serious expression - How about when he would rear back to bite and show those fangs! HA! |

I lovvvved Barnabas' black ring that he wore on his forefinger and that wolf's head cane of his! I think he used it several times to beat off
werewolves with! How 'bout the pointed bangs on his forehead! Yeah Julia was so head over heels for ol' Barney but he would never give the old doc the
time of day unless for a blood transfusion here or there!
Quentin was HOT!!! I used to love the mausoleum scenes or when someone was being chased in the woods. Or how about the opening intro scene with the waves crashing on the rocks! Remember when they made that Frankenstein monster named Adam? I think he was in love with that blond silky-haired Caroline. There was also some story about some monsters called The Leviathans, but they NEVER SHOWED THEM!!!! Cheap! I also liked when Barnabas did this thing with throwing some I Ching sticks on a table and he went back in time or some parallel universe without even leaving his seat at the table in front of the sticks! Coooool! Yeah man, 4:00 every afternoon after school the streets were empty... no kids to play with cuz everyone was glued to the TV watching Dark Shadowwwwws! Then after it was over everyone would come outside and talk about it!!!! Good times! |

I loved Dark Shadows when it was on! Which is unusual for me because I am such a scaredy cat that anything even remotely dark and sinister I have nightmares
about. I don't remember how old I was when I watched it though. But I do remember that dash to the tv afterschool and being grateful it was over before the
nightly news came on and my dad commandeered the tv.
I love it that the Logans are gelling as a family. I am slowly beginning to accept Heather in this role because I think she is a pretty good actress. The only time I think about her previous character on the y&r is when I watch the new Victoria make a hash of it trying to fill Heather's shoes.

Yes! I remember all those great s/l's! I do think my very favorite was when they went back to the 1790's for the Barnabas/Josette/Angelique s/l where
we find out how Barney became a pointy banged vampire. I remember how when he was still "mortal" he would smile and was a pretty nice looking man.
Okay you guys - can anyone remember which B&B character had a major role on Dark Shadows?? vicgirl - I'm one of the "Heather Tom will always be Victoria Newman" people. I don't know why they don't just pull a switcheroo and let HT go to Y&R and that other girl come on B&B and play Katie. They could try it for a week and see what happens. I bet upon spotting HT Victor would blurt out "Where the HELL have you been?" I do think Heather Tom is a better actress than most on B&B. If they write her some good stuff, she'll do well. |

I don't know why you want to inflict that girl on B&B when obviously it is in a state of crisis for actresses. The girl simply can't act. Bless her
heart (that's what they say down south when we really want to say - you poor pathetic creature).
