Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	Tags : None I have to admit my mouth dropped open when Esther came into the coffee shop wearing her full maid uniform. Does she wear that thing to BED? Couldn't she at least have taken off the apron and that little hat? I don't see why she has to wear that stupid get up anyway. It looks ridiculous and demeaning. Mrs. C. supposedly loves Esther so much, why doesn't she get her into better looking clothes? She looks like she ought to be working at Mel's diner.

If she is to wear some sort of a uniform in order to label her as being an employee of the Chancelor estate, then at least bring it up to date, it's bad enough that none of the houses ever seem to get redecorated and freshened up, at least bring the wardrobe up to date. If I'm not mistaken, at one point, not too long ago, Esther had left town and when she came back she didn't wear her uniform, and Jill had even commented on it. Mrs. C stated that Esther was her companion and aid and not a maid. I guess she was demoted. I don't have a problem with a uniform, but once again, update it, don't degrade a person. Maybe we should write into that show, "What Not To Wear" and ask them to help out.

Dingy (as Mel Sharples would call her)! They could be sisters! I'm sure they were going for that Lana Turner classic "Imitation of Life" movie. Esther could be in the hippest clothes from Rodeo Drive and I'd still be humiliated as well if she were my mother!

Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	You guys, up until yesterday's show I was kinda lukewarm about Chloe but now I am totally hoping she winds up standing in the Chancellor drawing room, wearing a Chanel suit while she evicts JILL! Who in the HELL does Jill think she is anyway? Everytime someone points out the OBVIOUS similarity between how SHE got pregnant with Philip to trap his rich Daddy and what Chloe's doing now, Jill rages "THAT was different!" No it wasn't! I have been waiting for YEARS to see Jill get knocked off her arrogant, pretentious, STOLEN perch and now it looks like I'm about to be rewarded! GO CHLOE GO!! If Jill had her way, Chloe would be dressed in a maid's COSTUME just like her mother's.

And we (almost) all were hating Chloe a week ago. Jill is such a hypocrite. I hope the baby is really Billy's not Cane's. Jill will have about five seconds of relief and then it is back to PAIN! Yeah, Esther should toss the uniform. They put it back on her to aggravate Chloe. And the boarding school business: What is so cool about a child being sent away from her mother? Esther and Kate should have been together, not separated like this. The proof of how detrimental that boarding school experience was to Chloe is evident in the way she's behaving now. Hey, she learned to fight to survive. Not only that, she's going to beat the rich people at their own game and take what they have for herself. Chloe might become my new favorite character. I love underdogs who fight against the odds and make it. "By any means necessary" - I'll even let Chloe get away with that for now. I just don't want her to turn into a Jill bitch clone once she's made it to the top. It's probably too late though.

Chloe is already as snobbish as they come but I have to admit to a tiny feeling of understanding of her humiliation at her mom. Where is her dignity? That was beyond ridiculous. Esther used to be comic relief but now it is just sad. when she told Chloe that she was proud to be a maid, that is supposed to make it OK to run around in iwith the hat and the apron? Even Alice on the Brady Bunch didn't run around in public with her apron on! It's too late to hope Chloe won't turn into a Jill clone, she is already there. I haven't seen such manipulating since Amber first snared Cane (by the way, what is wrong with this guy that he is so stupid he keeps getting sucked in by all these scheming witches?) We see people all over with their work clothes on and some of them don't have very glamorous jobs believe me but they are working and proud of it. Even my mom used to be a chambermaid and I would'nt have even dreamed of putting or down.

It just adds to Chloe's lack of moral perspective that she would feel that way and call her mother a loser. She is beginning to show signs of a jagged viewpoint on reality. Has she forgotten that she set this whole thing with Cane into motion? It is almost cruel the way she sits and gloats and then pouts because Cane isn't fawning over her like he did when Lily was pregnant. BUT - Chloe got sent away to a socially high brow boarding school when she was a young girl. How easy do you think it was for her to make friends with any of the rich girls if she admitted that mother was a amid? I think it was wrong (bordering on cruelty) to shove Chloe into such an imposible situaiton at such an early age. Esther was happy to send her for the great education opportunity and Mrs. C was happy to help provide it but, neither one of them seemed to take much stock in the fact that every day at that school would be a struggle for Chloe. I can remember one of my co-workers sent her son to one of the more exclusive private schools here in town. It was a real financial burden for their family but they wanted their kid to get a good education. Well, it dawned on them after about a week that forcing their middle class son to be "the poor kid" at that school was going to do him more harm than good. I remember he told me it was embarrassing to have his Mom pick him up in their old Maxima when all the other kids were riding in BMW's and Mercedes. He wasn't being ungrateful or criticizing his parents. He was just telling the truth. Just like I don't think Chloe is so much ashamed of Esther as she is determined to rise WAY up above Esther's place. She wants to be the lady of the manor, not the cleaning lady. And she had that determination reinforced every day she spent at that rich girls' school.

She looked at her mother with disdain and called her a loser. No good excuse for that. She is a grown woman. Sorry she had such a hard time growing up but there comes a time when everyone has to rise above their upbringing and background and be better. She practically genuflects at Katherine's feet!! I never saw Elizabeth Foster bow and scrape to Kay like Esther does. Heck, Liz had more dignity than Kay. Frankly, if Esther was my mother, I'd have a fit everytime I walked into that Chancellor estate. The first thing I'd say is TAKE OFF THAT RIDICULOUS COSTUME. And the first time Jill talked down to my Mama, I'd smack her right in her stupid mouth. It's time for Esther to stand up for herself. I know she is completely loyal to Mrs. C but she needs to be loyal to her own family first. That is Chloe and the baby. Esther needs to stop smiling at Jill in that goofball way saying "Isn't it wonderful? we're going to have a grandchild together!" You mean to tell me that by NOW Esther hasn't figured out that next to actually being IN HELL, the worst thing Jill can imagine is having a grandchild - with the family SERVANT??? Hey Chloe gets it. She understands what kind of strength it's going to take for her to step up and be the NEXT Mrs. C. Esther better get on the bandwagon or get left out.
