I loved that look on Brooke's face when Rick told Taylor he loved her and started kissing his Momma's rival.
This is one man that Brooke can't steal or compete with Taylor. I actually watched it a couple of times.

Yeah, I think it's great to watch Brooke squirm! I laughed my butt off when Rick stormed in yelling "Mom! DON'T TALK TO TAYLOR LIKE THAT!!!" And then he turned on Brooke and told her that she'd hurt Taylor for years and that Taylor had never done anything to deserve it! That Taylor has spent her life trying to be a good person and trying to put other peoples' feelings a head of he own. That had to be HARD for Brooke to hear. But it's fair cause it's the same thing NICK did that day when he yelled at Taylor in front of Brooke and said that they owed BROOKE so much and that BROOKE was only interested in what was best for Jack. Yeah - SQUIRM BROOKE! Your kids are all telling the truth about YOU! I can't wait til HOPE cmes running in and says "Mommy, remember that time you left me and RJ ALONE all night?" And then little RJ chimes in and says "Yeah and Mommy, remember that time we set the fire and you just stood there watching it burn?"

I so agree, samantha!!! I loved watching that nasty brooke squirm as well. And the scene looked very similar to what nick did to tay in front of brooke. All i
can say, no one deserves to be treated like that more that brooke.
However, i wonder if brooke really did "hear" what rick was saying. It probably went right over her head. Something has happened to that woman's ability to reason and see anything clearly. I only hope that nick AND ridge dump her to the curb once and for all. NO ONE would deserve it more!!! (And to think i used to love brooke!!! Oh well, that's what "littlebellblue" did to my once favorite character!!!!) |

Brooke does have selective hearing and it's her greatest defense mechanism.
Even when both her grown children were smackin' her up side the head with the brutal truth about her unforgivable behavior, Brooke just blinked, got that vacant look in her eyes and said, "Yes, I have made some mistakes in the past." MISTAKES??? A "mistake" is when you put too much horseradish in your hot wing dippin' sauce! I think getting knocked up by your SON IN LAW goes well beyond the mistake category!
But this is why Brooke always gets away with her crap she ALWAYS plays dumb. Maybe they're just not going to let her get away with that this time. |

I actually watched that scene several times too! Welcome marvinthemartian!
That whole dialog was very satisfying! I loved when Brooke set herself up with saying, "You're defending her out of the goodness of her heart, I get it" and she got this back: "No, that's the thing. You don't. You don't get it. I'm defending her, because I care about her. She's all I think about. All I want to do is--is be with her and hold her. Taylor, I love you." It was acted very well by all. Even that stupid KKL (who I think is a sub-par actress). She had some involuntary little twitch of disgust in her mouth. And Taylor was looking absolutely angelic, radiant and beautiful, like a woman who has just seen the light of having a man completely in love with her. The way she was looking at him as he was professing his feelings. It was like Brooke wasn't even in the room to her, she was just taking in all of his words and was very moved. Now Brooke finally has a full plate of pain to deal with: 1. She's lost her son to the woman she's made a career of hurting. 2. She's lost her sea-faring lover to her daughter and sister. 3. She's lost her soulmate to a co-worker who possesses everything she lacks. Brooke's no longer in the driver's seat and she's gonna need to kick that evil Brooke-ness of hers into high gear or she's gonna end up on an island again talking to dolls. |
