Gloria heads back to Genoa City to tell Nikki what she saw, Heather re-opens a case, Sabrina and Victoria will be doing an important job - together!
At Jabot, Victoria arrives for work. Jill does as well, intercepting Heather in the hallway. She points out some recent mistakes Heather has made. After Jill walks away, Victoria tells Heather that Jill has been picking on everyone lately! She reminds her though, that Jill saw her at the wedding with Adam. She tells her that dating the competition isn't a great idea - they're all supposed to believe that they don't discuss work? As Victoria walks away, a distraught Heather calls Paul and says she needs to see him!
In the Vegas casino, Walter tells David, "You've lost big before, you'll bounce back!" But as David spots Gloria and Jeffrey watching him across the room, he replies, "I may have just lost a lot more than money!" David tells Walter that he works with Gloria Bardwell, and if she happens to tell Nikki, even in passing, Nikki will leave him! When Walter refers to Nikki as a 'cash cow', David becomes belligerent. Walter is taken aback. "You actually have feelings for her? That's a first!"
At Crimson Lights, Katherine warns Nikki that her marriage won't work if there is no trust. Nikki says she is a mess and can't concentrate on anything! She worries about the work of the Charity Ball coming up, and Kay suggests that she ask Victoria to do it this year. Katherine then raises one of Nikki's eyebrows by asking what she'd think about Sabrina co-chairing it! Nikki slowly smiles, "Sure. Let's let the new Mrs. Victor Newman take her rightful place on the throne - and we'll see how long she's Queen."
Back at Jabot, Victoria comes into Nikki's office with some advertising numbers. She tells her to give them to David, but Vikki says she doesn't know where he is! Nikki takes off her glasses and sighs, saying that he is in Los Angeles - at least she hopes that's where he is! Victoria tells her mother not to let this man bring her down. She can't trust him, and he's a liar - he's lied in the past! She asks Nikki how she can be sure he's not lying now to get her to stay with him! Nikki says she is just going to concentrate on work right now. She notes, however, that she's not up to doing the Charity Ball this year. Victoria says that she will do it. Nikki warns that Katherine is thinking of having Sabrina co-chair though. Victoria says that she can live with that, but wonders why she would ask Sabrina. Nikki says it's because Victor has very deep pockets!
In their suite, Gloria tells Jeffrey about the conversation she overheard between Nikki and David on the phone at Jabot. She says that David told his wife he would never gamble again. She stresses that Nikki supported her when no one else would - she feels she needs to tell her! Jeffrey laughs and says she's not fooling him - she's looking for a way to use this situation to her advantage! Gloria laughs, Jeff laughs, and they start kissing passionately! Gloria says before they get into the hanky-panky, they need to figure out what to do about David Chow - she can't get him off of her mind! Jeff says, "Great. Just what every man wants to hear on his honeymoon!" Gloria worries that someone will get to Nikki before her. As Jeffrey continues to kiss her neck, she laughs, "I'm really enjoying being Mrs. Jeffrey Bardwell!"
At Indigo, Katherine meets with Sabrina to ask her to co-chair the Charity Ball. Sabrina wonders why she is asking her, and asks if Nikki would be co-chairing. Kay explains that Nikki may not do it this year. She also is forthcoming about her reasons for asking her - she is familiar with the arts, and she is Victor's new wife (and he always makes a generous donation)! Sabrina asks if Nikki has bowed out because of her, but Katherine assures her that's not the case. Sabrina says she'll do it - she's a Newman now!
Heather meets up with Paul at Indigo and tells her father that Jill has been giving her a hard time. She says she thinks Jill blames her for losing the lawsuit against Newman. Paul notes that seeing her 'canoodling' with Adam at the wedding probably didn't help! Heather looks strangely at him, 'Canoodling?!" She then goes on to say that she thinks Jill also blames her for messing up the investigation into Ji Min's murder! Paul says there wasn't enough evidence to prosecute anyone! Heather notes that she has never felt good about the way she left that case - she tells Paul that she wants to investigate it again - as a private citizen! Heather asks Paul to help, and asks if it were him, where would he start. Paul tells her if you're at a dead end - you have to start from scratch! Heather nods thoughtfully.
Sabrina shows up in Nikki's office at Jabot. Nikki is stand-offish, but Sabrina insists on talking to her. She says she believes that Nikki won't do the Charity Ball this year because Katherine has asked Sabrina to co-chair. Nikki is outraged that Sabrina thinks she would drop her responsibilities because of her! Sabrina urges her to make peace with her marriage to Victor! Nikki smirks, "You are still in the honeymoon phase - and it won't last!" Sabrina says, "Nikki, I'm not you." Nikki informs her coldly that the decisions she makes, about the Charity Ball or anything else, have absolutely nothing to do with her!
As David appears outside Jeffrey and Gloria's hotel room door, and prepares to knock on the door, he flashes back in his mind to his last conversation with Nikki. He then takes a deep breath and raps on the door! Too late! No one answers. Downstairs in the casino, Gloria tells Jeffrey that she is going to tell Nikki that she saw David gambling!
At the coffee house, Sabrina and Jana discuss possible themes for the Charity Ball. Jana suggests children doing finger-painting art all over the walls, and Sabrina warns that she is getting carried away! Jana says if she doesn't find a co-chair, she'll help! As Sabrina sips a hot chocolate, Jana notes that she is very eccentric - Jana loves that about her! She tells Sabrina about a teacher who taught her to let her imagination run wild and to never be dull! Victoria saunters in. Sabrina says hello, and Victoria informs her that she will be co-chairing the Charity Ball with her! Sabrina says it's great news, but Victoria warns it's a Charity Ball - not family therapy! Vikki says she'll take the reigns since her mother has done it for years. Sabrina resists telling her that she will be doing the job she was asked to do, and they can either work together or make it very difficult for one another!
Heather arrives at Jabot, and asks an assistant to bring her all of the files from when Ji Min was at Jabot. The assistant balks, "But he ran the company!" Heather says, "Then fill a room with them!" Victoria comes into Jabot just then and goes into Nikki's office. Nikki fills her in on Sabrina's visit and asks if Victoria is going to have a problem working with her. Victoria says she had the Newman name first, and if Sabrina wants to go toe-to-toe - bring it on! Heather, meanwhile, has begun looking through the Ji Min files. Jill walks into the room and sees her looking at a picture of Ji Min. Jill is relieved to find that Heather agrees that the case should be solved. She shares with Heather how much she loved him, and how they were planning to start a company together. "Can you understand how that felt?" Heather muses, "I think that I can." Heather promises Jill that if there is a way to find the person who killed Ji Min - she'll find it!
Gloria and Jeffrey arrive at Jabot. Gloria sends Jeffrey to inform Jill of their marriage. He approaches Jill in her office and blurts out that he married Gloria in Vegas. She slaps him! She tells him she lost the man she really loved and he was a lousy substitute anyway! Down the hall in Nikki's office, Katherine has returned to see how she is doing. Katherine asks if she really meant it when she told David that if he ever lied again it was over. Nikki admits she really would like to try and save it. As Katherine embraces her friend and leaves, Gloria comes in. "Can we talk?"
Back in his room, David tells Walter that Gloria has already checked out - probably to go and tell his wife! Walter insists that everything will be fine - he can work with him again. After all, he did a great job with the Ji Min Kim assignment - leaving clues, implicating others - to this day no one knows who killed Ji Min! David cringes as he flashes back to the murder of Ji Min. "I don't want to talk about it!"
